The Belpre Historical Society Inc. is a charitable and educational organization operating under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 1702 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Society maintains the Farmers Castle Museum as a repository of acquisitions donated to the Society.
The purpose of the Belpre Historical Society is to advocate for historical preservation, to serve as a repository for artifacts and archives and to support scholarship and education at Farmers Castle Museum.
About the Museum
The Farmers Castle Museum maintains archives containing original municipal, school, family, business & organizational records, photographs, correspondence, newspapers, ephemera and all manner of documents dating from the 1790’s to the present.
